Linda Mc Cartney Trivia
• Linda’s name before she married to Paul Mc Cartney was Linda Louise Eastman.
• Linda went to the Sarah Lawrence College but did not receive a degree from the school.
• Linda was engaged with the actor Warren Beatty before she started seeing Paul Mc Cartney.
• Linda’s breast cancer had spread to her liver. But even during that time Linda and Paul were worried that the drugs used for her treatment were tested on animals.
• After Linda’s death Paul said that Linda’s fans would remember her by the charities she made to the breast cancer research centers that do not support animal-testing. The best tribute to Linda according to him is “go veggie”.
• Linda and Paul were animal rights activists. In 1975 Linda had introduced Paul to vegetarianism. She set out a meatless diet in cookbooks and a line of frozen vegetarian meals under the “Linda Mc Cartney” name.
• Linda’s daughters Mary and Stella have also followed the footsteps of their mother and are passionate activists for animal rights as well as for breast cancer.
• In 1969, at the time of the recording of the eponymous album Mc Cartney made an uncredited vocal contribution to the Beatles song ‘Let It Be’.
